We all know how important the bride’s details are, but don’t forget about the groom! For those moments when all eyes are on the groom, add some details that will make him standout. Try adding some customization or color accents on his bow tie, socks, watch, pocket square, or cuff-links. Make sure that all of the groom’s details are together in one place when the photographer arrives so they can be styled and capture all of the special details. Hi guys! I’m back today with another installment of “Lit Life Wedding Chat”, featuring DJ Jay-P of Alliance Entertainment Group. Check out our interview below and learn what it’s like to work with a professional DJ.
How did you get in wedding entertainment?
I was looking to make a transition from DJ’ing in Clubs. I met a DJ who was doing weddings and he needed some help with some of his double bookings. I did my first wedding in 2002 at DD Ranch and have been doing 90% weddings since that day.

Knowledge of various genres of music, Diverse Staff, Years of experience, attention to details and hands down the best customer service.
How would you describe your entertainment style?
I would describe my style as Amoeba like, the ability to fit into any atmosphere. Diversity is the key in today’s wedding industry.
What advice would you give to a couple when hiring a wedding DJ?
Make sure you are hiring an wedding experienced DJ. Hire a DJ who can get you down the aisle and out the door. Demand the DJ you hire can read the room and keep your guest engaged.
What do you enjoy most about DJ weddings?
Seeing the couple relaxed and having a good time at their reception. Our Brides faces when the door opens for them to walk down the aisle is always a rewarding moment for me.

Love to get in a round of golf and travel during those days off.

Name: Tay Robinson
Company: C.A.S Experience
Why did you choose a career in the beauty industry?
I was born with a passion for the beauty industry. I knew when I was 5 years old I was going to be a successful hairstylist.
Describe your services that you provide for wedding clients?
I have a mobile hair and makeup agency with a large team of beauty professionals that caters to weddings and events.
What sets C.A.S Experience apart from other wedding beauty companies?
We cater to our client needs and concerns. On the wedding day our brides receive mini facials before their makeup service and are left with touch up bags to help them look flawless through out the day. We also have artists that specialize in all hair texture and skin tones.
What advice would you give to a couple when hiring a beauty vendor?
When picking a beauty vendor make sure they can provide photos of the type of look and style your going for. It’s very important to communicate with the artists about your concerns, wants, and expectations. Also be prepare to put down a deposit.
When your not working with brides, what do you do for fun?
Because some of the jobs I do outside of weddings can be interesting, I would consider that as having fun or going shopping with my kids.
Do you offer a bridal trial session? If so, what can the bride expect from this experience and how should she prepare?
Yes, we do offer bridal trials. For a hair trial, the client should shampoo her hair the night before and don’t put in any products unless they have natural or dry hair but less product as possible is better. It’s best to discuss your desire hairstyle and your hair texture before your trial. If you need to do a little blowout or straighten, that’s ok.
For a makeup trial, have a clean face but continue your daily skin-care routine. Don’t put on any makeup products before your trial. A clean face will hold makeup better. Please provide photos of your desire hair and makeup look for you and the artist can have a clear understanding.
