Processes, systems, workflows, and checklists. The Processes, systems, workflows, and checklists. The details really matter to me and ensuring nothing “slips through the cracks”. We can only do this day once, so if there’s anything I have the ability to impact in a positive way, you best believe I will. So here is a little peek into my process.

I believe the BEST wedding days begin with a solid foundation in planning + strong communication throughout.

For ALL new clients (no matter the level of service!), we kick-off planning with a discovery date to get detail-oriented. We open the lines of communication and work on creating your planning foundation from where you’re at in the process.

After our discovery date you’ll get:

Your rough wedding day timeline, so we know how many hours we’ll need to secure your DJ, Photographer and catering staff, etc., as well as when your ceremony will start, what time sunset is, when you’ll have your sparkler send-off, and all the special details in-between.
A custom month-by-month checklist to help both of us stay on track with tasks and due dates. This is tucked into our wedding planning guide that has freebies + goodies to help you every step of the way.
A budget outline based on your target budget, industry averages and your level of priority. If you aren’t one of our full service couples, this will help you know what to expect when gathering quotes from vendors and securing details.
Are you reading this and feeling overwhelmed or stuck in the planning process? Or maybe you’re concerned you’re “forgetting something” or forgetting things you don’t even know about. Well I gotchu, boo!

I’ve established all of these processes and checklist to make the process less scary and curb the “forgetting fear”. My goal is to make you feel empowered throughout the planning process, regardless of the level of service. Contact me to schedule your consultation

Your e-session is the perfect opportunity to conne Your e-session is the perfect opportunity to connect before the wedding day so you feel at ease in front of the camera resulting in even more beautiful and authentic wedding photographs. Top 3 tips:
.
.

1. Location: Choose a location that is special or sentimental to you as a couple-one that prompts dear memories, inspires you, or makes you fall deeper in love. Another tip is to think of an activity that you like to do together.
.
.

2. Style: An elevated, classic, and coordinated wardrobe provides the opportunity to express your personalities through your engagement session while bringing the editorial look you’ve been dreaming of to your photographs. Flowing fabrics and soft colors like cream, taupe, and dusty blue photograph beautifully. Don’t try to match and wear the exact same color as the groom. Instead, pick outfits and colors that coordinate. And ladies, don’t forget your nails! Nude colors and light pink hues tend to be best and non-distracting.

3. Hair + Makeup: If possible, book a hair and makeup appointment for your engagement session. This is a wonderful opportunity to have a trial with your wedding day hair and makeup artists. Having your hair and makeup done professionally will give you an extra boost of confidence which will come across in photos! A professional artist also knows the right amount of makeup to use to show up best on camera, while still keeping a more natural look but enhancing your best features.

5 Tips On What To Do When They Propose
.
.

1. Call the VIPs
Yep, make the announcement to your closest family and friends. You definitely want them to get the news from YOU and not anyone else. While you’re at it, call up your bridal party too. The earlier you ask your friends to be a part of your wedding the better.

2. Think About Your Wedding Style
If you’re like most brides you may already have an idea of the style of wedding you want. If not, start thinking about you and your fiance’s individual and collective style, so that your wedding will be a reflection of both of you. For instance, consider if your style is more traditional, modern, or maybe glamorous. If you choose traditional, maybe you would like to marry in a church. If you consider yourself to be modern, maybe you would consider marrying in a park, museum or hotel ballroom, just to name a few.

3. Money, Money, Moneeeey
You and your fiance should have a talk about your wedding budget BEFORE you make any wedding plans. Be sure to bring in all contributors: parents, grandparents and anyone else who is paying for your wedding. Set a figure that is realistic, within your means, and agreed upon by all parties.

 4. Consider a Planner
If you are considering hiring a wedding planner, be sure to engage him/her at the BEGINNING of the planning process. This can save you so much time and money, I promise :-). We know the right people and places to connect you to and since we have planned more weddings than you, we can educate you on how to do things the right way! And remember, most planners offer different levels of service, so at the very least hire a planner for day of coordination, so that you can relax on your wedding weekend and not worry about anything going wrong.

5. Hire the Pros
This will include selecting a ceremony and reception venue, photographer, entertainment, caterer and more. If you choose to work with a wedding planner, he or she will be able to refer you to reputable vendors in each of the categories above, that fit your style and budget.
